By accessing or using nezen.io ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. What nezen is

nezen.io is a free service that delivers a daily zen story for personal reflection. You may read stories, write reflections, save favourites, and subscribe to receive stories via email or WhatsApp.

3. Accounts

  • You may create an account using your email address or Google sign-in.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account.
  • You may delete your account at any time from your account settings.
  • We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

4. User content

When you write a reflection, you retain ownership of your words. By marking a reflection as "public", you grant nezen.io a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display it to other users of the Service. You may revoke this at any time by making the reflection private or deleting it.

You agree not to post content that is unlawful, abusive, hateful, threatening, or that infringes on the rights of others.

5. Story content

The zen stories presented on nezen.io are traditional texts that have been passed down through centuries of oral and written tradition. We present them for educational and contemplative purposes. Where known, we attribute stories to their source collections and masters.

6. Subscriptions

Email and WhatsApp subscriptions are free. You may unsubscribe at any time via the unsubscribe link in emails, by sending "stop" on WhatsApp, or in your account settings. We will never share your contact information with third parties for marketing purposes.

7. Availability

We strive to keep the Service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time without prior notice.

8. Limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. nezen.io shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

9. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your data.

10. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
